Taylor Media recognise the importance of protecting the privacy of our client’s personal and financial information. Taylor Media believe that protecting your valuable personal and financial information is a significant responsibility. Strict policies implemented at Taylor Media ensure that Taylor Media does not pass on Members’ names, addresses, email addresses or other personal information.

Taylor Media uses the third party services of PAYPAL for financial transactions (PayPal’s privacy statement can be viewed here) and does not collect or retain any financial information, only personal details you have supplied to enable us to process your Membership with The Tree Fund.

When you register with The Tree Fund you give Taylor Media your consent to treat your personal data in accordance with this online privacy policy and for the purposes described below.

Personal information given to Taylor Media will be used to register you with our Website and/or subscription database, to administer our Website services, and/or to process any orders you may place online. Taylor Media will send subscribers updates by email and/or post only if you give us your permission by submitting your personal details. Otherwise, we use your information only for our online services, or to communicate with you about your online orders.

Terms and Conditions

This document sets out the terms of participation in Taylor Media’s “attend the Red Carpet Australian Premiere screening” competition (the “Competition”).

  1. The promoter of this Competition is Taylor Media (the “Promoter”) (ABN 70 095 441 133), First Floor, 649 Beaufort Street, Mt Lawley, Western Australia, Australia.
  2. Entry to the Competition is open to Australian residents only. An entrant must be an individual and not a company or organisation. Entrants under 18 years of age must have the consent of their parent or guardian to enter. Employees of the Promoter or any person associated with the Competition, or any organisation or individual associated with the provision of the prize(s) are not eligible to enter. Nor are the immediate family of such employees. “Immediate family” means spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether or not they live in the same household as the employee.
  3. Each entry must be entered in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter may in its discretion refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions. All relevant instructions on the Promoter’s Website form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  4. Entry into the Competition/s are free and optional, subject to;
    1. Holding a current Sapling or Tree Membership (“Membership”); and
    2. Completing a Membership registration prior to 12midnight on Wednesday, 31 March 2010.
  5. The Competition opens at 5.30am on Tuesday 3rd November 2009 and closes at 12 midnight on Wednesday, 31 March 2010 (“Competition Period”). Any entry received after the expiry of the Competition Period will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.

  6. To enter the Competition, you must:
    1. Be a financial Member (“Member”) of The Family Tree (www.thetreefilm.com) register from the Promoter’s Website (“Website”); and
    2.  write an answer to the question on the registration page http://www.thetreefilm.com/user/register (“Answer”); and
    3. Submit all of the above through the Website http://www.thetreefilm.com/user/register.
  7. Each entry must include your name, address, and a daytime telephone contact number or it will be deemed invalid.
  8. By submitting the Answer to the Promoter, you grant the Promoter and its licensees and assignees a non-exclusive licence to exercise all rights in perpetuity throughout the world in the Sentence and all other material provided by you to the Promoter at any time.
  9. Without limiting the rights granted to the Promoter under point 8, you specifically agree that clause 8 grants to the Promoter the non-exclusive right throughout the world to communicate the Sentence in whole or in part to the public on any media platform and you grant to the Promoter all associated rights necessary to exercise the above rights.
  10. You must not enter the Competition more than once per Membership registration.
  11. You will receive one additional entry per Membership purchase resulting from your personal recommendations from the “Grow Your Tree” webpage www.thetreefilm.com/growyourtree. You will be notified by email if any of your recommendations become Members, entitling you one additional entry for the competition to win a trip to the Australian Premiere.
  12. Additional entries for the competition, as supplied by the Promoter must be completed with a different Answer and returned to the Promoter by email by Midnight Friday, 30 April 2010 to be a valid entry.
  13. Winners will be selected by a panel of representatives of the Promoter who, at their discretion, will select the best Answer/s based upon originality, creativity, and adherence to the word limit.
  14. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.
  15. The Prize Winner will receive the following:
    1. A return economy travel to the Australian Film Premiere of the Film (“Film”)  from the nearest Australian capital city for one (1) person, including overnight accommodation valued at approximately $1000 (including GST).
    2. Travel will be on dates to be confirmed and nominated by the Promoter on Thursday 1 July 2010, or if the Promoter is not able to confirm the date an updated estimated date will be provided.
    3. Travel dates will not be transferable.
  16. The total prize pool for this Competition is valued at approximately $1000 (including GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
  17. No component of the prize can be transferred or redeemed for cash. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a similar product to the same or greater value as the original prize, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation.
  18. You warrant that:
    1. all details provided with your entry are true and accurate;
    2. you have all necessary rights and licenses to grant the rights set out in these Terms and Conditions;
    3. the exercise of the rights granted to the Promoter in these Terms and Conditions will not infringe the rights of any third parties;
    4. and you will indemnify the Promoter against any loss or damage resulting from any breach of these warranties.
  19. You acknowledge that the Promoter is under no obligation to exercise any of the rights granted to it by these Terms and Conditions.
  20. You agree that the Promoter may use your entry and any personal details provided to the Promoter for any promotional, marketing and publicity purposes of the Promoter in any media without notice and without any fee paid to you.
  21. Decisions of the Promoter and its panel of judges are final and will be binding on each person who enters the Competition and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries will be judged at 10am on Wednesday 5 May 2010. The names of the Prize Winners will be announced on Monday 10 May, 2010 and posted on the Website (www.thetreefilm.com). The Prize Winners will be notified via telephone or mobile phone using the contact details provided with the entry.
  22. In the event that a Prize Winner is unable to be contacted, the Promoter will retain the prize for twenty-eight (28) days from the date of the judges’ decision. If any prize is not claimed within twenty-eight (28) days of the date of the judges’ decision, the judges may determine another winner for the unclaimed prize. A winner of any unclaimed prize will be a Prize Winner for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions.
  23. If there is any event that prevents or hinders the Promoter’s conduct of the Competition or the Promoter’s ability to deliver the prizes to the Prize Winners, the Promoter may, in its discretion, cancel the Competition and recommence it at another time under the same conditions or select another winner.
  24. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Competition, or for any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this Competition. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
  25. To the full extent permitted by the law, the Promoter will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or inconsequential) to persons or property as a result of any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using any prize, including without limitation non-receipt of any prize or damage to any prize in transit.
